Senior Shopify Developer

We are seeking an elite Senior Shopify Developer to join our technical team. At Sevenbrand, we believe that exceptional engineering requires deep focus. To protect your time and attention, you will be embedded in a single Delivery Pod, working on one client at a time to eliminate context switching.

Your Delivery Lead will handle all client negotiations, scope approvals, and administrative noise. You will focus entirely on what you do best: solving complex technical problems, building highly performant applications, and sharing your knowledge across the team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Architect & Build: Develop high-performing headless applications (React, Next.js), custom private Shopify apps (Polaris), and flawless frontend implementations. Depending on the client, you may also dive into mobile development using React Native.
• Leverage the Ecosystem: Deeply integrate with Shopify's vast array of APIs, admin features, and documentation to build scalable, creative solutions that push the platform to its limits.
• Codify Excellence: We do not reinvent the wheel. You will actively document your architecture and write technical playbooks. By teaching and sharing context across pods, you will ensure our execution baseline gets faster and stronger with every launch.
• Own the Quality: Execute rigorous QA and testing on your builds. You understand that your code directly impacts the client's bottom line, meaning Lighthouse scores, Core Web Vitals, and load times are just as important as clean syntax.

• Expert-level proficiency in modern web development and the Shopify ecosystem, including Liquid, React, Next.js, GraphQL, and Tailwind.
• A proven track record of building complex, data-heavy e-commerce interfaces and custom apps.

• An outcome-driven approach. You understand that the ultimate goal of your code is to reduce friction and drive revenue for established brands.

HOW YOU'LL WORK

We are fiercely protective of our engineers' time. As a developer at Sevenbrand:

• You will never be responsible for independent client negotiations, scope discussions, or budget approvals.
• You will operate asynchronously through Slack, GitHub, and our approved project management tools, with meetings kept to a deliberate minimum.
• You will work securely within approved systems and environments, focusing strictly on authorized development and production deployments.
